About Me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a yoga/meditation guide. I have been working in the mental health field for over a decade. I specialize in gender identity/LGBTQ concerns, sexuality and mindfulness meditation practices. Working within these areas is my passion, but I enjoy working with a variety of individuals and concerns.

My mindfulness and compassion practice has been deepened by numerous silent meditation retreats. I have studied under notable meditation teachers. I believe mindfulness and compassion practice doesn’t only reduce daily stress, but also aids in holistic health and psychological well-being. These practices work especially well for anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.

I have a deep and personal commitment to working with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, gender non-conforming, queer & questioning community and their families. I am a member of WPATH (World Professional Association of Transgender Health). Every individual has their own story and their own unique issues and I value all of them. Finding support, especially outside of an urban area, is not always an easy task. I hope to be an accessible resource for the community on Long Island.

Feel free to explore my website and LinkedIn to learn more about me. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
